May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Halloween Eve! We decided to dress the kid up in her costume and get some pictures in case we have meltdown tomorrow. Juliette is the cutest mouse you will ever see! We are soooo excited for tomorrow! Probably more than Juliette is! I'm sure you will all agree that she's the cutest thing there ever was.
Happy birthday to the new Prince of Cambridge...and to me! I am so excited to share a birthday with the heir to the thrown. Those that know me well, know that I LOVE the royal family. And now that we share a birthday, it's like we're related! That would make me a princess. Or a duchess. I'll take either one. Anyways, thank you to everyone for all the kind birthday wishes! This really has been the best birthday yet! I spent most of the day with Cheekie just sitting glued to the t.v. waiting for the Prince to arrive. Then we went to SW Grill for a delish dinner! I cannot imagine spending my birthday with anyone else other than these two... One of my gifts... Cheers to the new Prince...I look forward to sharing many birthdays with you.
Juliette is blessed to have one of the best father's out there! He is so patient with her and just adores her. I knew he would be an awesome dad when we were dating and he has proved that. I cannot imagine life without him. You are the most wonderful father to Juliette! We are both so lucky to have you in our lives! Here's what Juliette got Daddy for Father's Day...a book that she wants him to read her. A Barbie card...cause what girl doesn't love Barbie?!?! A donut cake...cause every good daddy deserves a donut cake! Duh! And she made an appointment for Daddy to go with Mommy to get his first massage! (While Auntie Em baby-sits! A win-win for everyone!) Happy 1st Father's Day Lovee/Daddy!
I'd also like to share some pics of my dad who left us way too soon. He was such a great man and I cherish the 19 years I had with him. I wouldn't be the person I am today without him. I know he's up there watching over us! Last year around this time, my good friends Emily & Kat hosted my Derby Bridal Shower. It honestly does not feel like it was that long ago! They did such an AMAZING job on everything! The decorations were so creative and the food delish! Since it's getting close to the Kentucky Derby (one of our favorite days here in the Jones' Household), I thought I'd share (or shall I say "relive") the great day. All the ladies wearing their Derby finest...hats were required. Emily & I...LOVE this picture of us. This was pre-Juliette =skinny. Mint Julep cupcakes...yes please! We had our own run for the roses complete with legal betting. And I won the best trophy ever...Josh :) This will be the first year in quite some time that we won't actually be able to attend the Derby. So...we are bringing the Derby to Florida! Josh's birthday is going to be celebrated Derby style! I can't wait to dress Juliette for her first Derby! Stay tuned!
The Easter Bunny stopped by The Jones' house today! Juliette was very excited (at least I think she looked excited!) when she saw her Easter basket. She got two bunnies, two books and some toys! Daddy got a basket too with candy, beef jerky and some Red Bulls! The Easter Bunny sure knows what we like! Happy Easter everyone!
Nothing says Spring like going to meet the Big Bunny! We took Juliette to see the Easter Bunny for the first time today at the mall. Hopefully, she isn't afraid of him when she gets older!
Happy St. Patty's Day! It's Juliette's first St. Patty's Day! Juliette's headband and shoes are a bit big, but they still look cute! (She looks cute in everything!)
We are having corned beef, cabbage and potatoes tonight...all cooked in Guinness YUM! Gotta love a reason to eat and celebrate! Happy November! Thankfully it is finally cooling off around here!
How far along? 24 Weeks Maternity clothes? Yes. Thankfully, I still have some pieces from my post-Juliette wardrobe that I can wear mixed in with the maternity clothes. Stretch marks? Not yet Sleep: Still sleeping great Best moment this week: Just feeling overly excited/happy about everything right now & the reality that baby girl will be here in a little over 100 days (unless I deliver late...) Just trying to soak it all in! Miss Anything? Being able to tie my shoes straight. I now have laces tied to the side. Movement: All the time...just wish she'd move so Josh could feel her too! I'm sure he must be getting anxious! Food cravings: Still stuck on O.J. I also have this love for these snacks called "Somersaults." They are crunchy little nuggets that are baked with sunflower seeds and toasted grains. They are delish! (and healthy!!!) Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope Gender: Girl Labor Signs: No Symptoms: Nothing really...it's been pretty uneventful. No complaints from me! Belly Button in or out? Innie still Wedding rings on or off? On Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! Looking forward to: Having a husband that can work from home! Josh started working from home this week. What a relief to know that he can watch Juliette while I am at work...no daycare for our sweet baby girl! I have to admit that the thought of her having to go to day care scares the poo out of me. God bless he works for such an amazing company! Juliette is the size of: An Eggplant! She is about 9 in. long and weighs approximately 1.4 lbs! Best part of this week...I had my 24 week check-up. All is well! Her little heart beat was 159! The doctor said she must be an active little girl! I go back in two weeks for the dreaded glucose tolerance test. After that we have to go for check-ups every two weeks since we will have made it to the THIRD TRIMESTER!!! |
Juliette's MommaThanks for stopping by! My name is Jen and I am the proud Momma of Juliette Margot! We are so blessed to have a healthy and happy baby girl. Check back often and watch as Juliette grows...you never know what great adventures are ahead of us! The Past...
