The Easter Bunny stopped by The Jones' house today! Juliette was very excited (at least I think she looked excited!) when she saw her Easter basket. She got two bunnies, two books and some toys! Daddy got a basket too with candy, beef jerky and some Red Bulls! The Easter Bunny sure knows what we like! Happy Easter everyone!

Time flies when you are having fun...I had to go back to work this week. I really cannot believe how fast 10 weeks went by! It was hard to leave Juliette, but thankfully knowing Daddy is going to be at home with her, made the whole situation soooo much better. I think I would have been a mess if it wasn't him that was watching her! It also helps that I am able to watch her from my desk at work! Josh has also been sending me pictures throughout the day so I can keep up with her. This is what I got yesterday... Little does Daddy know. Juliette looks fab in blue and will definitely be wearing some. She just doesn't have much that fits her at the moment. So, watch out Daddy. The blue will come out of the closet!
Nothing says Spring like going to meet the Big Bunny! We took Juliette to see the Easter Bunny for the first time today at the mall. Hopefully, she isn't afraid of him when she gets older!
Juliette has been working on her tummy time. The other day she kept falling asleep during tummy time. (Usually she is flailing around and crying during tummy time!) I turned her over and she didn't move! She was sound asleep! Being a baby is hard work! I couldn't stop myself from taking lots of pictures of her while she was sleeping. She looked so peaceful! Man, I love this little girl! How lucky are Josh & I to be her parents!
March Madness! If you know Juliette's Daddy well, you know he LOVES basketball season especially when the University of Louisville is playing. Louisville has not lost a game since Juliette was born. Josh insists that Juliette is a good luck charm for the team. Every day they play, he dresses her in UofL attire. Today, he put her in a pink UofL onsie with tutu and big flowered hat. How can you resist this little cutie!
Go Red Team! (That's what I say...I guess since UK sucked this year, I can cheer a bit for Louisville. So...GO CARDS!) Colds suck. Colds suck even more when your 5-week old gets one. Motherhood causes you to worry...especially when you wake up in the middle of the night to hear your sweet baby struggling to breathe through the mucus. I was so concerned about her this morning that I called the pediatrician. Thankfully my best friend, Emily, works at Juliette's pediatrician's office. I was able to get the doctor to check her out within an hour of calling! Gotta love that! After getting checked out and being given a test for RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), the doctor determined Juliette just has a nasty cold. She was not a fan of the test for RSV. They swabbed the inside of her nostrils and the poor thing screamed as loud as she could. I felt like an awful Mommy for letting my baby catch a cold. And Daddy keeps reminding me that it was I that passed the cold on to her. What a mean Daddy! It's a good thing he is cute!
On a good note...Juliette got weighed today. She is now 8 lbs. 1 oz.! She is almost TWO pounds heavier than when she was born! As much as I would love to keep her little forever, I am looking forward to her becoming a big girl too. Now if only we could keep the colds away! Happy St. Patty's Day! It's Juliette's first St. Patty's Day! Juliette's headband and shoes are a bit big, but they still look cute! (She looks cute in everything!)
We are having corned beef, cabbage and potatoes tonight...all cooked in Guinness YUM! Gotta love a reason to eat and celebrate! We are so lucky to know "THE" best photographer! Our good friend Jackie introduced us to Meghan with MVL Photography (Check out all of her work! www.mvlphotography.com). Meghan and Jackie went to high school together and have been great friends for years. When Josh & I got engaged, Jackie said we had to contact Meghan to be our photographer. So...we called Meghan and instantly knew she was the one! She took our engagement pics, wedding pics and now Juliette's newborn pics. We have our photographer for life! Everything she does is AMAZING! She was soooo patient with Juliette. She should be called "The Baby Whisperer! Can't wait for the next opportunity to have her take some pictures!
