May your turkey plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
Happy Thanksgiving!

This year has FLOWN by! Juliette is only a few weeks away from turning 10 months. Juliette went and met Santa for the first time! She really had no interest in him. She could have cared less that she was being held by some big, bearded stranger. We definitely need to talk to her about stranger danger. At her 9 month doctor appointment, she weighed in at a hefty 16 pounds. She got a flu shot (which she was not a fan of) and was given the go-ahead to start eating some table foods. Unfortunately, she has no interest in food either. Who's kid is this?!?!!! We've tried to give her some "real" food and she barely touches it. One day she'll get it and there'll be no turning back. The week after her flu shot, she was not the happiest of campers. We blamed the shot. Turns out the kid was getting her third tooth! Tomorrow is Juliette's first Thanksgiving! Hopefully she'll at least try the turkey!
I've become that mom. The one that takes way too many pictures of their kid and puts them on Instagram and Facebook. Oh well :) When you have the World's Cutest Kid, you HAVE to share them. If I didn't share the adorable pictures all the time, then people would really be missing out. And we don't want that. So...Happy Saturday! Here's how we are spending our Saturday night: I just adore that Juliette's hair is getting thicker and curlier! When I was little, I HATED my curly hair. I have learned to love it and am so happy to have a mini-me in the making! And...we've got visitors this weekend! Robyn & Seth drove down from South Carolina today to go to the O.A.R. concert. Tomorrow we are going to go out for breakfast (my favorite meal to eat out!) and walk around Downtown St. Augustine. Should be fun! Good night friends!
This past month has brought on many new and fun things...Juliette LOVES toys now! She finally is interested in something other than her hands! It was so hard to get a picture of her today without a toy since she kept reaching for the chalkboard. By the end of the session, the kid had chalk all over herself. We made an impromptu trip to Juliette's doctor for suspicious random bug-bite-looking-kinda-bumps on three of her knuckles. I was concerned it could be the start of that hand foot mouth disease. Turns out they really were suspicious random bug-bite-looking-kinda-bumps on three of her knuckles. Thankfully, it only cost me a $20 co-pay to find that out. Juliette has graduated from Baby Einstein. She would rather watch Dora The Explorer or Bubble Guppies. Josh and I can sing all the songs now too. The things we do for our kids. Juliette now has two teeth and is a whooping 15.5 lbs! She can still wear some of her 6 month clothing...at least she's resourceful and thrifty. She sits up all by herself and rolls around like a crazed lunatic. Still no crawling, but I'm sure we can't be very far away from that. She loves her exersaucer, her walker, and her jump-a-roo. And she can still fit in her swing! By the way...please keep voting (or start if you haven't already!) for Juliette in Gerber's Photo Search 2013. The kid could win a reallly nice college scholarship! That would make her mom & dad reallly happy! Visit their Facebook page by clicking here: VOTE JULIETTE MARGOT! Click "View Gallery" then enter Juliette's Entry ID 26338. You can vote daily till December! We thank you in advance for supporting the cutest baby there ever was! Happy 9 Months Juliette Margot!Grams came to visit a few weeks ago (and I am just getting around to getting to this post). We had a great time and were sad to see her leave :( We enjoyed taking Juliette on some walks arounf the 'hood. Pappaw stopped by for visit on his way to South Florida while Grams was in town. Juliette loves her prunes! We took Grams to one of her favorite places in Florida...Sonny's BBQ. She wanted to rub it in to my little bro, Chris, that she got to go. So, we took this picture and sent it to him. We also treated Grams to her first trip to Hash House in Orlando and her first drag show at Hamburger Mary's. Emily and her Mom, Gina, joined us. Yes, this IS a picture of Gina SIGNING the Drag Queen's pleather pants. And she paid to do this ;) And this is a random shot of Juliette drooling on a quick trip to Publix to find some vino for our Halloween extravaganza. We made this amazing "Spiced Pumpkin Halloween Punch." Juliette didn't have any punch. Grams was also lucky enough to join us for Halloween. Our neighborhood is CRAZY on Halloween! There are literally hundreds of kids. Check out my Halloween post here. Grams was a trooper and wore the Dutch costume for a few minutes. We had such a fun time with her and miss her dearly!
We had a hot Halloween Trick-or-Treat session last night...mid-80's! Juliette enjoyed her first Halloween (but probably not as much as her mom and dad). She had her friends Myalee and Harrison join her...and we didn't get a picture of all three cuties :( Next year we will be chasing her around the neighborhood!
