We made it back from our Kentucky trip last night. Unfortunately, these trips go way to fast. The drive is definitely harder with a toddler. Juliette overall did great in the car. After 12+ hours, she was restless...but then again, so was I! We first went to Grams house for a few days. We got to watch the US vs. Ghana game with Uncle Chris at Longneck's, went to Mt. Adams and had lunch at Teak, visited the new Jungle Jim's, saw Cousin McKenzie, and visited Uncle Matt & Aunt Anne in Indianapolis. The second leg of the trip was also jam packed. Juliette saw all of her Louisville family, went boating on Lake Patoka for Pappaw's birthday, had a cookout at Granny's house, went to Trader Joes, toured Bardstown Road (while Mommy and Aunt Mandy spent hours shoe shopping at Zappos/6 p.m. Outlet!), and got to hang out with Cousin Olive (and Cousin Dillon & Collin!). We can't wait to come back!

Last Sunday, we took Juliette to the beach for her first "real" beach day. The kid was very skeptical at first. She didn't want her feet to touch the sand. After about 15 minutes, she opened up and started to like the water and the sand. Then we couldn't get her out of the water! We stayed for a while...long enough for my back to burn where I couldn't reach to put sunblock on. Now that I have Sunday's off, we plan on taking her back each week!
Picture taking has become almost impossible...Juliette can sit still for about two seconds before she starts squirming around. Thankfully we were able to get a few pictures before her time in the chair was up! (Somehow the cute Naartjie outfit she has on is 3-6 Months!) Happy 16 Months Kiddo!Last week, we went to Hollywood Studios for a day. Juliette was on her best behavior all day. We used up our last four-day Florida Resident pass...a great bargain if you live in Florida! It is a bit hard to really do much at Disney since Juliette is still too little to ride many rides. I'm looking forward to taking her back when she is a bit older! She did get to go on a few before she was ready to take a nap. We have learned that there is a time when it is time to go...and it's right before no sleep meltdown! This past week has been epic. Juliette found her legs and is a walking machine (FINALLY!). The kid is ALL over the place. She is feeling better after going through a few weeks of fevers, low temperature, vomitting (ON me...yes, I had Spaghetti-O's dripping down the front of me), fussiness, teething, and diarrhea. This week she was back to her normal happy self. Since she's feeling better, we are going to take her to Hollywood Studios tomorrow! Here's to a healthy kid! This could be my all-time favorite picture of these two! Such a sweet moment!
